It’s not easy being a person. Life can feel challenging, hard, complex, traumatic or stressful. Just the thought of talking to a counsellor can be highly anxiety provoking; I genuinely understand those feelings.
My name is Jo Fear and I’m the counsellor here at Ivy House Counselling, based in Westbury, Wiltshire, offering counselling for clients in Westbury, Trowbridge and surrounding areas.
I offer face-to-face counselling in Westbury, within easy reach of Trowbridge, Warminster, Frome and Melksham. A well-connected location with easy access by road and rail.
I offer a respectful, safe and calm environment for you to explore whatever you choose, at your own pace. As a counsellor, my practice is respectful and without judgement. I am dedicated to providing my clients with a warm, compassionate and empathic therapeutic relationship; one where you feel both understood and supported. I passionately believe we do not have to be limited or defined by our past experiences or illness.

Perhaps you are trying to understand yourself, your patterns of behaviours or process your past pain and live more of the life you choose for yourself moving forward.
You might be experiencing some changes or simply want to talk to someone unconnected to your life, with the reassurance of confidentiality. There can be a lot of shame and guilt around the thoughts and feelings we have but also around seeking outside support.
Ultimately you are in control of what you choose to share with me and talk about.

My dedicated practice room is discreet, calm and comfortable. An approachable space, thoughtfully designed for clients who may feel apprehensive about starting therapy.
A space where you can take a breath, pause and feel at ease. Somewhere you’ll be welcomed and supported.

I offer face-to-face, online or telephone counselling for individual adults aged 18+.

I am available for one off, short-term or long-term counselling sessions.

Remote sessions not limited to local area, available to anywhere in the UK.
