I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and as such work within their Ethical Framework.

My Experience

As a counsellor within a local charitable counselling service, I have experience of working therapeutically with a wide and diverse range of psychological issues and life experiences such as, but not limited to:


Anxiety

Depression

Low mood

Low self-esteem, low self-confidence, or self-loathing

Childhood trauma including abuse or neglect

Experiencing changes in life

Grief or loss

Motherhood

Domestic Abuse

Abuse including emotional or physical

 I also work as a counsellor in an NHS staff counselling service within a local hospital. 

I have worked within the NHS in a wellbeing role as a Wellbeing Supporter, providing confidential 1 to 1 support to ambulance staff. This role has given me an understanding of the issues faced by frontline staff.

Prior to this I worked as an Inclusion Coach within third sector community mental health services, supporting adults 16+ experiencing feelings of isolation and living with a wide range of mental health conditions. 


I have also been a Volunteer Support Buddy within a domestic abuse charity.

Before counselling entered my life.....

Before all of the above and many moons ago, I have a design background, specifically ceramics and surface pattern design.

This commitment allows me to continually update my skills and provide the highest quality support to my clients.
